St. Michael's Children's Programs

St. Michael's offers programs and childcare for the younger members of our community during the 9:15 a.m. Mass.

Children's Liturgy of the Word
Children's Liturgy of the Word normally meets during the 9:15 a.m. Sunday Mass. Children in first through third grade are invited to participate. This program adapts the weekly Scripture readings so children can more easily understand the Word of God. Children are called together during Mass for the program and return for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. This ministry is run by parent volunteers. All parents of participants are encouraged to help out by either leading a group or assisting with "crowd management."

St. Michael's Nursery
The Nursery is open during the 9:15 a.m. Mass year-round (depending on volunteer availability). Please read the Nursery guidelines before bringing your child for care. Parents who use the Nursery are asked to volunteer to help. If you have questions about our Nursery program, please call Mary Lou Fiala, Nursery coordinator, at 430-9906.

St. Michael's Sunday School Program
The Sunday School program is for children ages four and those in kindergarten. Sunday School meets during the 9:15 a.m. in the St. Croix Catholic School Cafeteria (Miller Hall). The program fee is $30 per child. This program depends on volunteer help. Information about volunteering is available on the registration form. Please call Jan Kramer, Sunday School Coordinator, at 439-7037, with questions.

Other faith-based educational options for youth are run by St. Croix Valley Faith Formation and St. Croix Catholic School, both serving the needs of the Tri-parish community of St. Michael, St. Mary and St. Charles.

St. Croix Valley Faith Formation
To make best use of our resources, faith formation for the tri-parishes (St. Michael, St. Mary and St. Charles) is run by St. Croix Valley Faith Formation (SCVFF), an independent corporation offering elementary through adult faith formation programs.  For information on these educational programs, please go to
www.scvff.org.

St. Croix Catholic School
Since 1856, St. Croix Catholic School has provided Catholic Christ-centered education to the St. Croix Valley.  SCCS serves all three of the Tri-parishes, St. Michael, St. Mary and St. charles, and is an independent corporation.  For more information about SCCS, please visit
