Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration is our acknowledgment that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. For more than eight years, parishioners of St. Michael and other faithful members of the community have dedicated 24-hour Adoration to Our Lord. Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, as it is known, is a commitment to never leave our Lord.
St. Michael's commitment to Eucharistic Adoration arose from Pope John Paul II's call for all laity to participate in Eucharistic evangelization "so that the whole people of God could develop a personal relationship with Jesus, Our Savior in the Blessed Sacrament."
Pope John Paul II explained, "It is by taking time out to be with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament that this relationship with Our Lord begins to increase, and grow and blossom. Perpetual Adoration builds community. The Eucharist is the sacrament of unity, Jesus unifying his people. Through the intimacy of quiet prayer with Jesus, one experiences the personal love of the Savior and grasps the reality that we are all one with the whole Body of Christ."
All are welcome to visit the Adoration Chapel at any hour, day or night. Jesus awaits you.
Committed Adorers A committed adorer is someone who signs up to pray in the Adoration Chapel at a specific hour each week. St. Michael’s is blessed to have over 400 committed adorers dedicated to weekly adoration. Many more stop into the Adoration Chapel as their schedules allow. Many of our adorers have experienced tremendous spiritual growth or personal conversions.
Prayer Partners A prayer partner is a committed adorer who is scheduled to worship at the Adoration Chapel at the same hour as another adorer. Prayer partners have a built-in substitute, in the event that one of them cannot attend adoration at the committed hour. Some prayer partners take turns going every other week.
Become a Committed Adorer or Prayer Partner If you are interested in signing up for a specific hour or would like more information about Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, please call Don and Deanne Wessel at 430-1264 or 491-3647 or Eric and Rebecca Lorenz at 332-1855 or 715-377-0648.
Please know that you are not committed to an hour of Eucharistic Adoration until the end of time. If, for whatever reason, you are unable to continue at your hour, simply call Don and Deanne or Eric and Rebecca.
