Mass Intentions

If you would like to have a Mass said on behalf of a deceased loved one, a special request or a family member or friend, please call the Parish Office at 439-4400.

We are allowed to accept only one intention per Mass. If we receive more requests than we are able to fill, we will direct intentions to the missionary Masses. One of the many blessings of our Catholic faith is that the Mass is universally the same no matter where or in what language it is said. We are truly "one holy, catholic and apostolic church" throughout the world.  The suggested donation for each Mass is $7.00.

Missionary Mass Intentions
Catholic missions through the world are supported by donations from many sources. We hear about some missions from representatives who come to our parish to request financial and prayer support. However, many missions do not send speakers but rely solely on the small income they receive from Mass intentions.

Requesting a missionary Mass intention is easy.

  • Print or type your intention on a sheet of paper. Please keep in mind that intentions need to be read by missionaries for who English is a second language. If you would like more than one Mass said for your intention, please use separate sheets of paper for each request so they can be easily distributed to various missions.
  • Enclose your request and donation (typically $7) in an envelope labeled "Mission Masses." Checks may be made payable to "Church of St. Michael." Each month, St. Michael sends one check with all the requests to the Propagation of the Faith Office.

The Propagation of the Faith Office will forward your request and donation to those missions in need of funds. A Mass will be said for your intention in two to 12 months of your request. Because many missions are in remote locations, you will not be notified of the location or date of the Mass said for your intention.
