Your Wedding Day
Your scheduled time for using the churchDue to other weddings and liturgies, each wedding is given use of the church for three hours. On Saturdays, the 11:00 a.m. wedding party may use the church from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The 2:00 p.m. wedding party may use the church from 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. On Fridays, the wedding party may use the church from 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Please be considerate of others who wish to use the church.
Bride's dressing roomA dressing room for the bridal party is available downstairs, adjacent to the women's restroom. Men in the wedding party may use the nursery, the space below the arcade or the restrooms. We ask that you remove all personal belongings from the rooms before your wedding begins so the rooms will be available for the next wedding party and for security purposes.
Parish wedding assistantsA wedding assistant from St. Michael will assist you and your wedding party at your rehearsal and on the day of your wedding. The wedding assistant will be available to open the church, help set up, set the lights for pictures, turn on the sound system and answer any questions you may have. These assistants are parishioners who offer their time so that your wedding ceremony may run smoothly.
Alcoholic beveragesBringing alcoholic beverages into the church for a pre-nuptial celebration is completely inconsistent with the sacred character of the Marriage sacrament. Even champagne in the bride's room, as traditional as it may be for some families, is not permitted. There is to be no consumption of any type of alcoholic beverage on church premises before or after the wedding ceremony.
It is recommended that you provide bottled water for your wedding party.
SmokingSmoking is prohibited. The Church of St. Michael is a smoke-free building.
